Dan J. O'Leary, Chairman and CEO
Dan O’Leary is President and Chief Executive Officer of Edgen Murray. With over 30 years of experience in the steel pipe and distribution industries, Mr. O’Leary has extensive knowledge of energy industry supply chains.
He joined Edgen Corporation in 2003 and led the management buyout together with Jeffries Capital Partners in February 2005.
Mr. O’Leary’s other experience includes serving as president and CEO of Stupp Corporation, an independent producer of electric-resistance welded custom steel line pipe, and Executive Vice President and COO of Maverick Tube Corporation. Additionally, he held executive and management positions with Lone Star Steel Company and Red Man Pipe and Supply.
With an extensive background in product specification, international business development, trade, and industry issues, Mr. O’Leary is a former Vice Chairman of the Committee on Pipe and Tube Imports, and is a member of the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors. He is a graduate of the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor's degree in Education.
