Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Units

Serving as the first step in refining crude oil, atmospheric distillation units are responsible for separating fractions of crude oil such as lighter gases (C1-C4), naphtha, kerosene, gasoline, diesel, and fuel oil. Vacuum distillation units are then responsible for further separating any remaining heavy hydrocarbon residues into gas oils and asphalt. The distillation process requires products that can withstand extremely high temperatures and pressures.
