Hydro Power

Hydro power is electricity generated using the energy of flowing water. The most common type of hydroelectric power plant uses a dam on a river to store water in a reservoir. Water released from the reservoir flows through a turbine, causing it to spin and thus activate a generator to produce electricity. Hydro power plants require large diameter coated pipe and an extensive range of valves for water flow and control.

At Edgen Murray, we provide carbon pipe, pipe components and valves from leading manufacturers around the world. Additional testing and coating is also provided according to client requirements.
