Edgen Murray Solidifies Paris Operations with Incorporation of French Business Entity

Edgen Group Inc. (NYSE:EDG) through its subsidiary, Edgen Murray, a leading global supplier of specialty steel products and logistics solutions for the energy and infrastructure sectors, has deepened its commitment to the French Energy and Infrastructure markets with the recent incorporation of its French entity, Edgen Murray SAS. When it was established in 2010, Edgen Murray’s Paris office was tasked with marketing the company’s services and ability to offer pre-qualified mill manufacturing and stock supply routes to French Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) customers who were in the process of developing their international business profiles, particularly to North African markets. Edgen Murray’s Paris team has subsequently expanded this role and client base, and the incorporation of the French entity will see the Paris office assume full sales, steel supply, and project management responsibility for all French based accounts and the North African market.

Pierre de Silly, France Country Manager said “Incorporating in France allows us to expand our day-to-day offerings to French-speaking and North African markets in addition to wider global markets via French EPC clients. The Paris office will build on its offshore upstream strengths and look to increase opportunities in the midstream, downstream and power markets, as well as supporting Edgen Murray’s nuclear market business activities.”

Craig Kiefer, Edgen Murray’s President said, “Our French EPC and contractor client base is very important to Edgen Murray. We are committed to the French market and will continue to engage and support our clients in all their projects.”
