Process Leadership Team – Eastern Hemisphere

The Process Leadership Team is responsible for overseeing all business operations that involve products used in process applications, including offshore production, subsea, power and downstream applications. This team drives the global strategy for the process product line, including value add services and our One Stop Service, with the aim of providing our customers with the technical assistiance, global sourcing, and project execution they need. They further support local management across the Eastern Hemisphere with technical and commercial product expertise and offer assistance in procurement.

Herbert Eder

Vice President Process Eastern Hemisphere

Herbert has been in the steel business for more than 20 years. He joined the industry from a very young age as a blue collar worker in a pipe mill during his high school and college years and later in sales for a well known European plate mill. He worked in various departments, including production, quality control, sales and other, thus accumulating a vast amount of knowledge, both technical and commercial. Armed with this knowledge, he introduced the ‘one-stop philosophy’ and focused on developing the business of prefabricated piping for critical power applications. He joined Edgen Murray in 2013 with the task of creating a business unit to cater specifically to the Power and Downstream markets in EMEA, with a focus on value add services. He has recently been promoted to Vice President Process for the Eastern Hemisphere and is responsible for expanding the One Stop Service in the Eastern Hemisphere. Herbert has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and post graduate studies in Industrial Engineering.

Peter Groeneweg

Director Process EMEA

Peter started his career in the steel business in 1995. Before joining Edgen Murray, he worked for a European stockholder of pipe, fittings and flanges as Key Account Manager catering to big refineries in the Netherlands operated by large oil companies such as Shell, and Exxon Mobil. Throughout his career he has been charged with building new project teams and delivering for clients around the globe. He has extensive knowledge in project supply and execution and has supplied to key power and downstream projects globally. Peter joined Edgen Murray in 2013 and, together with Herbert Eder, was responsible for setting up the Power & Downstream division within EMEA and introducing our One Stop Service model to new customers. He has recently been appointed Director Process EMEA and is responsible for process piping products within all market segments in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Peter is a member of FDBR (association for Boiler, Tank and Pipeline Construction) and has a bachelor in Technical Business Administration.

Mark Fyffe

Director Process APAC

Mark joined Edgen Murray in 2007, with a background in machine tools and equipment. He started as Sales Manager for Alloy Products in Singapore and was the first recruited to focus on this product line within the APAC region. In 2008, he became Chief Representative of the Jakarta Representative office tasked with the opening of the office and developing direct business with end users within the Indonesian market. Further on he assumed more product focused roles as Process Piping Manager for the Eastern Hemisphere and later as Strategic Sourcing Manager for APAC in charge of the development of strategic sourcing initiatives within APAC, with a special focus on China, Korea and India. In 2013 he moved back to his homeland, Scotland, to assume the role of Senior Market Manager Upstream, UK & Subsea, responsible for project related sales in the North of Scotland and later Norway. In August, Mark will be returning to Singapore to fully assume the duties of his new role as Director Process APAC. Mark has a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in International Business.
