Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, Americas
Phil has been in the steel business for more than 28 years, having spent nearly his entire career with Edgen Murray. Starting with Thomas Pipe, which was later renamed to Edgen Murray, and throughout his career Phil has held various roles focusing on procurement, sales, order fulfilment, and product management. In his current role as Vice President, Strategic Sourcing, Phil oversees the America’s sourcing team and is responsible for Edgen Murray’s complete product offerings and mill and manufacturing purchasing plan through a clear, quality-focused, and strategic approach. Additionally, Phil’s responsibilities include inventory management and developing long-term relationships with our valued vendors. Phil’s extensive product knowledge and his deep-rooted relationships within the energy and infrastructure industry have helped set the high standards by which the Americas sourcing team operates.
Vice President, Distribution Sales
Mike Chambers brings more than 35 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure industry to his role as Vice President, Distribution sales. Mike has extensive knowledge in material procurement, pipe sales, order fulfilment, and product specifications for pipe. Along with leading our U.S. Distribution sales efforts, and with the support of Jason Elliot, Edgen Murray’s Sourcing Manager, Mike is responsible for managing the extensive seamless carbon pipe inventory across our Edgen Murray locations. Mike’s years of experience and his long-standing relationships within the industry are a key part of his ability to cultivate strong vendor relationships to support Edgen Murray’s customers.
Sourcing Manager, Valves
As one of Edgen Murray’s most experienced valve specialists, Mike brings over 35 years of experience in valves to his role as Sourcing Manager, Valves. He is responsible for the procurement and management of all valve products, as well as the fostering of current and establishment of new valve manufacturer relationships for Edgen Murray across the Americas. Mike was a key part of the Equipment Valve and Supply group who was acquired by Edgen Murray in the summer of 2007. He is also a member of the Pipeliner’s Association, the Valve Manufacturers Association (VMA), and the Pipe Valves and Fittings Roundtable (PVF).
Sourcing Manager, Alloy Products & Downstream Market Manager
In his role as Sourcing Manager for Alloy Products, Kurt is responsible for managing alloy inventory and establishing pricing strategies for all alloy pipe, fittings, and flanges. Additionally, Kurt Austin leads the Downstream inside sales team in our Houston Edgen Murray location. With over 25 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure industry, Kurt brings an expansive range of product expertise to his dual role. During his career at Edgen Murray, Kurt has performed various roles in our Upstream, Downstream and Sourcing teams. He and his team are focused on nurturing supplier relationships, developing material procurement packages, and managing project requirements and schedules.
Sourcing Manager, Fittings and Flanges
Henry brings more than 35 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure business to his role as Sourcing Manager, Fittings and Flanges. He has been with the Edgen Murray family for more than 25 years, serving in various roles from warehouse manager to inside sales for the Houston midstream team. In his current role, Henry is responsible for managing Edgen Murray’s High Yield Fittings and Flanges inventory. Beyond managing inventory levels and establishing pricing strategies, Henry is Edgen Murray’s go-to expert for any inquiries, projects, or product training involving High Yield Fittings and Flanges.
Sourcing Manager, Carbon Pipe
Andy Fox joined the Edgen Murray family 11 years ago in a business development role, identifying new customers and projects within the midstream segment. Today, as Sourcing Manager for Carbon Pipe, Andy specializes in ERW line pipe, focused primarily on midstream and downstream pipeline projects. This includes buying inventory, building relationships with pipe mill vendors and developing pricing strategies. Andy also works hand-in-hand with Edgen’s business development and inside sales teams on projects, large scale orders, and pipe programs agreements for end users.
Sourcing Manager, Carbon Seamless Pipe
As Sourcing Manager of Carbon Steel Pipe, Jason is responsible for managing Edgen Murray’s Carbon Seamless Pipe inventory as well as developing and maintaining strong and functional relationships with key vendors. Jason first started working for Edgen Murray directly out of High School as a Warehouseman while he earned his college degree. Jason later had various roles from Operations Sales Support, to Purchasing Assistant, before working his way to Sourcing Manager.
Martha brings over 25 years of sourcing and procurement experience in the steel industry to her role as Sourcing Supervisor and is responsible for the continuous improvement and maintenance of effective and efficient inventory management and operational success. Martha serves as a primary point of contact for Edgen Murray’s vendors and contractors to ensure delivery dates and conditions of orders are being properly met.
Pamela is responsible for coordinating and executing supplier agreements and contracts on assigned products and services. She works closely with Edgen Murray’s commercial and strategic sourcing management teams to execute the sourcing plans required to meet deliverables, including supplier selection, supplier qualification, on-time delivery, and inventory monitoring and replenishment. Additionally, Pamela plays a key role in developing and nurturing vendor relationships by serving as the main point of contact for many of our suppliers.
