Edgen Murray has built a global distribution platform to better service our customers by integrating the strengths of some of the leading steel providers in the world.

1983:  Thomas Pipe & Steel founded in Baton Rouge, LA—grew to become one of the largest stocking distributors of prime domestic and foreign carbon steel pipe in the U.S.

1998:  Acquisition of Bartow Steel—the primary carbon pipe supplier for the Southeastern U.S.

1999:  Acquisition of Radnor Alloys—one of the largest stocking distributors of chrome-moly & seamless stainless pipe in the U.S.

2000:  Acquisition of Resource Pipe—a large carbon pipe supplier in the Northwestern U.S.

2001:  Acquisition of ProMetals—a master distributor of Nickel Alloy and Stainless piping products.

2002:  Acquisition of Service Industrial Supply Co. (SISCO)—the industry leader in high yield fittings, flanges and specialty items.

2002:  Edgen Corporation formed to integrate the five companies under one brand and operational structure.

2005:  Acquisition of Western Flow Products—Canada’s largest stocking distributor of chrome-moly pipe, flange and fittings as well as complete lines of complimentary products.

2005:  Acquisition of Murray International Metals (founded 1976)—providing premium steel products to meet the needs of the offshore applications through stocking and distribution facilities in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

2005:  Company name changed to Edgen Murray

2007:  Acquisition of PetroSteel International—offering turnkey steel products and services for major offshore construction, petrochemical, hydroelectric, nuclear, mining and aggregate projects.

2007:  Acquisition of Equipment Valve & Supply—brought the capacity and expertise to meet almost any valve requirement for upstream, transmission and downstream needs be it ball, check, plug, gate, globe or butterfly.
